Sweet Indulgences and Savory Delicacies at The Equinox’s Fine-Dining Venues Manchester Village, Vermont – Located in the heart of Southern Vermont’s most spectacular landscape, The Equinox offers five superlative dining offerings befitting the beauty and magic of the resort and its stunning setting. With fine-dining at the Chop House, wine and chocolate flights at Falcon Bar, and the legendary Marsh Tavern, dining at The Equinox is unsurpassed. Chop House is representative of a beautifully refined hunter’s lodge, featuring a warm and sensual color palette of chocolate browns, burgundies and reds, and classic hardwood floors throughout. Leather banquets and chairs surround oversized tables designed to comfortably accommodate the typically oversized steak house fare. The menu features signature takes on classics such as the 24-ounce Porterhouse, Prime Rib and Grilled Lamb Chops as well as roasted King Salmon and whole Maine Lobster. The Chop House is located at the original site of the Equinox House Hotel and maintains the original Orvis stone hearth dating back to 1853 lending a warm, manor house vibe to the venue. Marsh Tavern has been a favorite watering hole for U.S. presidents and the site of revolutionary conversation and ideas since 1769. The “old soul” of The Equinox, The Tavern accommodates guests for lunch and dinner as well as offering a bar menu for a quick and tasty bite including snacks such as pretzels served with Raye’s Mustard from Maine, the last stone ground mustard mill in the country. The cuisine is sophisticated New England-style, full of nostalgic flavors and simple, farm fresh ingredients. Meals at The Tavern are hearty, healthy and leisurely paced. Traditional cuisine is updated with contemporary touches showcased in such dishes Yankee Pot Roast with Buckwheat Polenta and Grilled Swiss Chard or Lobster Club Sandwich with Harrington Bacon, Market Tomatoes and Baby Greens on Walnut Toast. The bar specializes in an extensive selection of locally produced beers and ales with a Beer Sommelier on hand to help create the perfect meal pairings and beer flight tasting by both region and style. The authentic candlelit colonial atmosphere is supplemented by favorite pub games such as chess, checkers and Trivial Pursuit with live music adding an extra layer of excitement on the weekends. Falcon Bar is located at the heart of the resort just off the main lobby. Sensual, warm, inviting and luxurious the décor is rich and textured featuring red and cream bar stools hugging the signature granite bar with an oversized black and white photograph depicting one of the gorgeous hawks from The Equinox’s British School of Falconry. The Falcon Bar features an extensive collection of single malt scotches and a comprehensive wine list with over 30 wines available in flights, or in three, six or nine ounce servings. Additionally the Falcon Bar serves over 20 styles of the finest Vermont cheeses and world-renowned Knipschildt chocolates including a signature homemade hot chocolate complete with marshmallows perfect for cold snowy days. Through large French doors the lounge extends onto a lavish outdoor deck replete with open-air fire pit. Falcon Bar is the ideal setting to start and end your evening. The Colonnade is the resort’s homage to the grand ballrooms of golden decades past. The venue offers sweeping views of the Green mountains, hand-stenciled moldings, Biedermeier chairs and over-sized chandeliers. The room’s grand décor and complimentary polished service makes The Colonnade the ideal setting for any grand affair, intimate gathering or special event. The Colonnade provides a lavish buffet menu which includes favorites such as the Blueberry and Ricotta Pancakes, Pumpkin Bread Pudding, Steel Cut Oatmeal with all the trimmings and Eggs Benedict made with local eggs and The Equinox’s well-loved Hollandaise sauce. Open seasonally for lunch, the Dormy Grill is located on the beautiful deck of the Clubhouse, adjacent to the ninth hole at the prestigious Golf Club at The Equinox and offers unparalleled panoramic views of the course and mountain ranges. Open daily for lunch, the Dormy Grill serves a selection of entrée salads, burgers and sandwiches, while Woody’s Bar, tucked just inside completes the menu with a selection of beers, wines and specialty cocktails.
