The Equinox, situated in quaint, romantic Manchester Village, was the choice venue for one Boston couple’s nuptials. The resort’s wedding coordinators orchestrated a seamless three-day wedding reception, starting with a Friday-evening soiree at the Pond Pavilion with its breathtaking views of Mount Equinox and the pond filled with floating candles, a Saturday evening cocktail reception following the ceremony on the lawns of the Lincoln Gardens and an elaborate dinner in the stunning Colonnade Ballroom, ending with a Sunday farewell brunch on the classic wrap-around porch of the Dormy Grill. The reception menu included Maine lobster risotto cakes, grilled beef tenderloin and pan-seared bass with a personalized color scheme-coordinated candy buffet for dessert. Tables were denoted by years, as opposed to numbers, which symbolized important times in the couple’s lives. Snapshots of the bride and groom identified each table. The Equinox wedding planners also set up mini-chalkboards around the tent for the reception, each one depicting a different quote about love. Upon arrival guests received a welcome bag and a list of suggested activities and offerings available to guests of The Equinox. Friends and family could spend their time lounging at the indoor pool, enjoying massages at The Spa, experiencing the sport of Falconry and the excitement of the Land Rover off-road driving school, hiking and playing golf or wandering through Manchester’s designer outlets.
